T Minus 3 Weeks?!

Wow, the past few months certainly did fly by. I mean, I expected it and attempted to prepare with some early packing, logistical planning  etc...however, after returning from a nice little snowboarding trip/ last hoorah! with friends, the "last call!" was heard loud and clear and I now find myself merely 3 weeks out from Kenya!

Don't get me wrong...this is the best countdown of my life. But I definitely can't hide the fact it has still snuck up on me. Regardless of my feelings of patchy preparation, I need to use the majority of this post to thank all my friends and family for their support not only in raising funds but truly extending such overwhelmingly positive encouragement. Without all this support, the weeks leading up to my departure and commencement of such an exciting, yet challenging, year would not feel as peaceful and enjoyable. 

Whether it was a playful anecdote of someone else's travels that shed some insight or the kind note from a "long time no see" friend or the surprisingly generous donation...the past few months have been graced by such support and have made this time of preparation so wonderful.

With that, thanks to all who have supported. Truly know it means the world to me and I am excited to share these upcoming adventures with you. I cannot thank you enough!

I'll be back shortly, right after I pack up the apartment and get home for some R&R with the family!
